Welcome to Dave's Bird Diverters

Durable, Laminated Bird Scare Strips (holographic film) With Grommets

How It Started

We had an awesome dock built on our property in Carrabelle,
Florida. We were so happy until a few days later I realized we had created a great place for gulls, terns, pelicans, egrets and other birds to hang out. The birds, while beautiful to see, left a horrible mess. This was not my plan.

First I bought an owl and screwed him to the picnic table at the end of the dock. I immediately knew this wasn’t the answer when I found a bird had pooped down it’s back! Next up were rubber snakes. This was no deterrent either but the grandkids did get a kick out of them.

I searched Amazon and found holographic film rolls. I tied strips onto the rope and presto, No More Birds! Then came a few windy days and no more film, only the knots where they had been tied. My next step was to stick some “Gorilla” tape to the back to strengthen the film strips. This worked for a couple of weeks but the print on the film degraded. I decided to apply clear film to both sides and put a grommet into one end. This does the job great
